Hornist Mihajlo Bulajić began his musical journey at the age of ten in the class of Prof. Zoran Mrdjenović, completing his primary and secondary music education at the Vojislav Vučković Music School in Belgrade. He continued his studies at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade under Prof. Milan Radić, graduating with honors and receiving a special distinction in 2009. During his studies, he won numerous awards at the national level and participated in chamber music ensembles, performing with a brass and wind quintet in all major concert halls across Serbia.
He further refined his musical skills through seminars with renowned professors such as Hermann Baumann and Ferenc Tarjani, as well as at the Mozarteum in Salzburg under Prof. Radovan Vlatković.
He gained valuable orchestral experience as a principal hornist at the Belgrade National Opera (2006–2010), as a regular member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra (2009–2011), and through collaborations with the Madlenianum Opera and Theatre in Belgrade, the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Radio Symphony Orchestra, with which he also performed as a soloist.
In 2010, he moved to Slovenia, where he became the principal hornist of the Radio Symphony Orchestra and a member of the brass quintet SiBrass, the RTV Slovenia brass trio, and the wind quintet Quintologia. He also performs as a guest hornist with orchestras such as the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Belgrade Chamber Orchestra, BandArt, Orchestra of Europe, EPOS, and others. Additionally, he is active as a mentor in youth orchestras JOCAN and JONC in Spain. Since 2020, he has been teaching French horn at the Conservatory for Ballet and Music in Ljubljana.
