Junior Category
Each participant in the Junior Category category receives a practical prize in addition to a plaque or recognition for participation. The order of the competitors remains anonymous.
The jury selects the most promising young percussionist from the contestants in the Junior Category. In addition to the plaque or the award, the most promising young percussionist awardee receives a hand-made cajon from a young Slovenian family-owned company »DP Cajon« in the value of 350 EUR.
1st, 2nd and 3rd Category
In 1st, 2nd and 3rd Category, regardless of the points scored for the first, second and third place, candidates receive a laureate in addition to the plaque:
- First place award
- Second place award
- Third place award
In case that two or more participants of the competition are equally evaluated (points achieved) in one of the first three places, the prize is awarded to the younger of the two or among all equally evaluated.
Recipients of I., II. in III. Prizes in all categories are awarded with practical prizes, which are published separately for each edition of the competition on the website (www.bolero-competition.com).
In 1st, 2nd and 3rd category, one participant is selected to receive the prize for the best performed snare drum SOLO piece in their category, regardless overall points achieved or final result. In addition to the plaque or the award, recipient receives a practical gift.
Plaques and prizes will be awarded at the Award Winning Ceremony, in the evening on the day of the competition, when the individual category or several categories are completed, depending on the number of participants of the competition. Competition participants will be informed about this at the same time as the official schedule is published on the competition website (www.bolero-competition.com) and on other online platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) used by the competition organizer.
Recipients of I., II. and III. Prizes in all categories, if selected by the Jury, are obliged to appear at the Prize and Award Giving Ceremony and perform part of the competition programme determined by the Jury. In case that the recipients of I., II. and III. Prizes refuse to cooperate at the Prize and Award Giving Ceremony, no reward will be given to them.
The organization of the competition reserves the right to make changes in the implementation of the awards ceremony. This is decided by the Head of the competition.
In the event that the competitors do not attend the Prize and Award Giving Ceremony, plaques and special prizes may be picked up at the address of The Private Music School »Melodija, Zasebna glasbena šola Muta d.o.o.«, by prior notice until 24th of June 2022. Plaques and special prizes are exceptionally sent by post. Shipping costs are covered by the participant of the competition or his guardians.*

The organization of the competition reserves the right to allow exceptions to the participants of the competition with major logistical problems. This is decided by the Head of the competition.
