Simon Klavžar studied percussion at the Ljubljana Music Academy, Hochschule fuer Musik und Theater Muenchen and at the Hochschule fuer Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt and performed in Carnegie Hall New York, Berlin Philharmonic Hall, Hermitage Theater in St. Petersburg and Auditorio de Tenerife.

As soloist or chamber musician, he gave recitals in the USA, Russia, Spain, Luxembourg, Italy, Germany, Austria, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Netherlands, Japan, Croatia, Great Britain and Scandinavia. He received the Prešeren prize by the University of Ljubljana, 2nd and audience prize at the IPCL Luxembourg, 1st prize ex-aequo at the Salieri-Zinetti Chamber Music Competition in Verona and 1st prize at the PENDIM percussion competition in Bulgaria.

Klavžar performed with the following artists, ensembles and at festivals: Lincoln Chamber Music Society, Ensemble Modern, Ensemble Sonemus, Peter Sadlo, Alexej Gerassimez, Katarzyna Myćka, Stefan Hussong, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Movimentos Wolfsburg, Musical Olympus, Emilia-Romagna and Muenchener Bienalle. He is endorsed by Adams, Innovative Percussion and Manic Drum.
