ABOUT COMPETITION

VI. International Music Competition BOLERO (2026) is intended for young percussionists, brass players and woodwind players of all nationalities up to the age of 15, who are divided into different competition disciplines and categories according to their instrument and year of birth.

In 2026, PERCUSSION competition disciplines will be held between May 11 and May 13, 2026 at the premises of Municipality of Muta (Graščina Kienhofen, Glavni trg 17, 2366 Muta, Slovenia).

OUR GOAL

International Music Competition BOLERO is organized with the aim of stimulating professional pedagogical growth in the field of percussion, brass and woodwinds in Slovenia and beyond, as well as in an effort to encourage young musicians to deepen their musical and artistic activities. With its international orientation, the competition encourages and contributes to the development of music culture, other arts and tourism in the municipality of Muta, a region of Slovenian Carinthia and Slovenia.
